MingHua MCA 2009 Spring Semester SAT Program Registration Information

What does SAT stand for and why do students have to take it?

SAT is an abbreviation of Scholastic Assessment Test. It is an important admission criterion for American colleges and universities. A high score can help you stand out from other applicants.

What is the Minghua MCA SAT program?

The MingHua MCA SAT program is a test preparation program designed specifically for immigrant students by MCA (Minnesota China Academy). The program provides students with skills needed to succeed on each section of the SAT. The program first started in 2001 and has successfully operated for 8 years and trained over 400 students. Many students who participated in the program got high scores on their SAT tests and got accepted into prestigious universities.

The 2009 Spring classes will start on January 31st (Saturday). The class is designed for current 10th Grade and 11th Grade students.

Tentative Schedule and fees:
There are 12 sessions, including 3 SAT diagnostic exams (January 31 - May 9, 2009). Class will run from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday mornings except for the three days of the diagnostic exams, which will run from 8:15 am to 12:15 noon. The class will be taught by experienced teachers from Princeton Review (Princeton Review is a famous national test-preparation school. It has roughly 500 locations around the country).

The fee is $525 per student, which covers class instruction, diagnostic exams, materials from Princeton Review and 4-month free access to Princeton Review Online Student Center. The fee may increase if enrollment is small (if less than 12 per class).

Space is limited for both classes. Please contact Jianxiong Wu at or 651-442-9517 to register.
